I recently purchased Valhalla Delay by valhalladsp.com. It has a handful of great features that make it useful for long ambient loops: 20 sec max delay time, diffusion network to blend delays into reverb, delay ducking, and several different delay emulations. The BBD emulation in particular is my favorite. I only have a couple small quarrels. One is that the diffusion network can't be toggled on and off without creating a gap of silence in the delay loop, which limits its use somewhat. If you start a loop with the diffusion off, you can't later decide to turn it on without ruining your loop. The manual says anything below 1% turns off the diffusion, but even with it set to 0.1% like in the video, you can hear that it introduces a very small gradual stereo drift, so over time the left and right channels are out of sync. This stereo drift itself is kind of interesting, but it should be a feature, not a workaround. Also, 20 secs of delay time is already pretty good, but if there was a switch to set max delay to 2x or more, that'd be cool. But overall, other than Augustus Loop, this is the only delay plugin I know of that's actually useful for long ambient loops, and it has some features built-in natively that I've had to hack together Augustus Loop (namely, ducking and diffusion network).
