Hallo Leute, ich hab seit langer Zeit das GARMIN GPSMap 66sr. Zuerst war ich mit meiner GARMIN Fenix 6 Pro immer wandern, doch in manchen Situationen kommt man da einfach an seine Grenzen wenn es dabei geht sich schnell ein Überblick zu verschaffen um die Route neu anzupassen. Nicht falsch verstehen die Uhr ist herrlich und bequem zum navigieren. Ich bin dann das erste mal auf Reise gewesen im National Park " Hohe Tatra" und dort hat sich dann das Garmin GPSMAP 66 sr voll ausgezahlt. Auf einer 12h Wanderung und am Wendepunkt der Runde war ein Weg vor uns Dicht gemacht wurden. Wir hatten 2 Optionen im Tiefschnee ca 800m durch schneebedeckte Bergkiefern schlagen und die Gefahr auf ein Berg / Wolf zutreffen oder einen Umweg von 15 km laufen wo wir nicht genau wussten ob uns dort auch gesperrte Wegen erwarten und ob unser Essen reicht. Durch das Garmin Navi konnten wir uns die neuen Wege wunderbar anzeigen lassen und alle möglichkeiten in Betracht ziehen. Ich bin jetzt viel Kilometer mit dem Gerät gelaufen und sehr sicher was die Funktionen angeht. In this video, I look at how the Garmin GPSmap 66 series can handle turn by turn navigation. Technically, all recent Garmin handhelds can do turn by turn navigation (similar to google maps directions) - it’s just that you need map products that are routable. When it comes to handhelds, which are typically pre-loaded with topo maps, the pre-loaded maps are not routable. So the only navigation you can do is from point A to B, straight line or as the crow flies type of navigation. I’ll be looking at the GPSMAP 66 st out of the box maps (pre-loaded), 3rd party mapping product and Birdseye map layers and how you can toggle between the layers. PRE-LOADED MAPS 1. Base map - this is the least detailed map, usually country, state outlines with major highways. Can not do routable navigation 2. Topo V2 - this is an older map product that offers POIs but not routable. 3RD PARTY MAPS 3. Backroad map books - I bought via 3rd party a map product that is routable. Routing is enabled. 4. BIRDSEYE - this is the optional satellite images that you can download directly to the device. These are just image layers that you can stack on top of the pre-loaded or 3rd party map. Le Garmin GPSMAP 66sr multi-bandes à un problème, il ne fixe pas les satellites Galileo, bug connu mais pas encore corrigé, j'ai écrit trois fois à Garmin qui reçoit mon message mais ne répond pas. 1) Début de la vidéo, les satellites GPS qui sont fixes, 2) le seconde séquence sont les satellites Galileo qui clignotent toujours et ne sont pas pris en compte par le système. 3) Le troisième séquence sont les satellites Glonass qui sont fixes. Puis je reviens en arrière.

In this video, I'll show you how you can register your garmin gpsmap 66S or 66ST with your geocaching account and download caches via wifi. GET THE GEAR ON AMAZON 🤍 First you'll need to add a wifi network to the device, but if you haven't done so, you can add it after click on the geocaching icon from MAIN MENU. You can also do this via your smartphone when paired with bluetooth. Once you are on WIFI network, you will see an activation code on the device and a URL. 🤍 Go to your smartphone or computer and log into your geocaching.com account and enter the activation code.
