yeah, I definitely liked using the 25kg plates didn't have to load a lot to get to the weight I needed to get to when I went to Alphaland.
I hate squat racks like that! I workout in a Golds in Maryland. They have some good squat racks, but when they’re being used I have to resort to the same rack you used. It’s horrible! You can’t just stand up to unrack.
I used to go to a powerlifting gym but I have so much anxiety going into them now. There was an incident where a girl got body shamed at the gym I was going to and it literally fucked with my head and opened my eyes to how many disgusting judge mental people are. The equipment does play a huge factor and I feel it. But I just don’t want to associate myself with anyone after that Situation. I literally get anxiety from being around people now :(
moment equals force times distance, so weight is heavier if it is farther away on the bar, so you are lifting more weight if you have thicker plates or more plates because they are farther away from the center of the bar
One really good point that he made that I have an issue with as well is the fact that the weights do take up so much space on the bar and they are inaccurate. Some commercial gyms also have these chunky ass weights that take up 50% of the bar. Unfortunately, It’s hard to find a powerlifting gym in NY that isn’t hours away from me

I prefer non competitive bodybuilding (Drug free) over everything but this was a great video. I feel like powerlifters tend to be short/ endomorphic so gravitate towards it. I'm 6'2 and prefer hypertrophy training.
