The Ultrawave Multiband Processor and Ultrawave Multiband Bass Processor embark on a pioneering journey into the advanced potential of overdrive and tremolo, exploring a brave new universe of sounds yet unheard. At the Ultrawave’s core is a dynamic and multi-dimensional approach known as multiband processing. This process splits the frequency spectrum of a guitar, bass, or synthesizer into multiple, discrete frequency bands and equips each band with its own array of adjustable parameters. In the case of overdrive, the Ultrawave splits the incoming signal and provides separate drive and output level controls for each individual band. The result is a thick and rich distortion with loads of unique overtones and dynamic interplay. Split the signal into 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, or 10 frequency bands, and apply any of the band splitting options to an exciting collection of overdrive types, including Tube, Diode, Foldback (a method of distortion often heard in the world of synthesizers), Octave Up, Negative Flip Diode, and more. The goal in creating the ZIO Analog Front End + Boost was simple yet ambitious: “Make Everything Sound Better!” ZIO is an all-analog preamp/boost pedal from Source Audio that includes a choice of four distinct preamp circuits, each with up to 20dB of additional output boost. ZIO is Source Audio’s first all-analog effects pedal and designed in collaboration with Christopher Venter, the owner and sole engineer at SHOE Pedals. For more info on ZIO visit - 🤍 The word "ZIO" is an acronym for Impedance (“Z” is the electrical symbol for impedance), Input (“I”), and Output (“O”). The pedal is designed to take a guitar’s high impedance signal, sweeten the tone with any of its four preamp circuits, and output a strong, low impedance signal that won’t be altered by the buffered dry tones of effect pedals further down the signal chain. High fidelity, noise-free Burr-Brown op amps help give ZIO extreme clarity and responsive pick dynamics, while maintaining ideal body and warmth. ZIO has four distinct preamp circuits. JFET offers a completely transparent signal boost with zero coloring or distortion. LOW-CUT reduces “tubby” bottom-end for a tighter sound with added headroom. STUDIO finds inspiration from the time-honored “Pultec Trick,” a studio technique that adds clarity by cutting the “mud frequencies” and adding mid-range articulation. E-PLEX captures the focused and subtle grit of the preamps found in vintage Echoplex Tape Delay units. The ZIO’s TONE toggle offers three different levels of capacitance (or simulated cable length) to brighten or darken the tone. The ZIO’s simple control set makes it easy to find the perfect “base tone” for any guitar and ensures that the dry signal hitting each pedal and the amplifier remains strong and consistent.
🤍 On Reverb 🤍 The Source Audio EQ2 builds off of the success of the first version with 10 fully programmable bands, stereo ins and outs, and much more! There’s a lot to cover but know this, you can start simple and use it like any 10-band EQ, only now you can store 8 of your favorite presets such as bass boost, mid scoop or single coil clean boost and recall them by holding the footswitch or access up to 128 via MIDI. Graphic and parametric capabilities are dialed in by cutting or boosting frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz by 18dB. Although the 10 bands show designated frequencies, you can select any Freq and the Q width with the multi-functional rotary knob. Like other pedals in the One Series, the EQ2 can be tweaked with the Neuro Mobile App or Desktop version. From there, you get a great visual of the EQ state and what is happening on each channel. You can send each output with the same EQ or split them and send a mid boosted curve to your Fender amp and a treble boosted EQ to your Vox. The split channel option also allows you to use a footswitch to A/B between two EQ settings on the fly. Expression control is also a huge benefit with the EQ2. You can control up to 4 parameters at once to create simple boost, EQ morphing, Wah and filter effects or volume swells, since every aspect of the pedal is programmable. Plus, three major features not found on the 1st version are a built in Chromatic tuner that you can access in a several footswitch configurations, a limiter to avoid clipping from heavy boosting and a noise gate with threshold control. With all these powerful features, the EQ2 may replace one or half a dozen pedals on your board! 🤍 The first thing we need to do is explain the big idea behind our latest project. Bob Chidlaw (Source Audio's Chief Sound Engineer), feeling inspired by his personal Eurorack modular synth rig, set out to built a powerful synthesizer machine, specifically designed to live inside the compact structure of a Source Audio One Series housing. The C4 is, for all intents and purposes, a modular synthesizer in an box. On the surface, the C4 features a simple 4-knob interface and a choice of three guitar/bass synthesizer effects - just plug-in and submerge your instrument in a sea of swelling, buzzing, and swirling synth tones. If you want to take things to take things a bit further, we urge that you connect the C4 to our Neuro Desktop Editor (a free download for Mac and Windows) or Neuro Mobile App (a free download for iOS and Android). Inside the Neuro Editors you will find the tools to personally create your own retro-futuristic synthesizer tones. Use the C4’s collection of four parallel voices, three oscillator wave shapes, ten-plus envelope followers, twenty-plus modulating filters, distortion, tremolo, pitch shifting, intelligent harmonization, programmable sequencing and more to dial in that perfect tone. Find it all, from the classic synth tones you've always wanted to replicate to those illusive abstracts you've imagined, but never actually heard. If you're short on time and/or patience, it's very easy to find tons of great sounds - simply call up an effect from countless presets created by the Source Audio team or the growing legion of C4 users.

🤍 The ZIO is Source Audio’s first all-analog offering and is armed with 4 preamps to help boost, buffer and shape your whole rig and in designed in collaboration with Christopher Venter of Shoe Pedals! The answer to what ZIO does can be found in its name: (Z) Impedance, (I) Input, and (O) Output. The distinct preamp circuits can give you anything from under unity gain to +20dB boost: JFET offers a very transparent, high headroom boost with no freq limiting, Low-Cut gets rid of the rumble and extreme frequencies that may make your cabs flub out or cause those neck pickups to get lost in the mix. Studio, is inspired by curve of the "Pultec Trick", is a versatile preamp which simultaneously cuts muddy low-mids, reduces rumble and increases presence. Finally, the famous E-Plex FET-based circuit adds its characteristic warmth and slight grit to any scenario, only with much more boost available than the original. Any of these preamps/boosts will act as a buffer, reducing the capacitance of long cable runs. But sometimes, like in the case of the Echoplex which didn’t have a low enough output impedance to retain high end, a little rolling off of the high frequencies can be a nice touch. So, the Tone/Capacitance switch can virtually add up to 30ft of virtual cable length before any of the preamps, reducing the high end spike of buffers or perhaps creating new tones with your dirt pedals. There’s no wrong way to use ZIO. Source Audio even gives you a dedicated Tuner/Line Out and a silent tuning option when the Mute toggle is selected. ZIO is Source Audio’s first all-analog effects pedal and designed in collaboration with Christopher Venter, the owner and sole engineer at SHOE Pedals. ZIO is a deceptively flexible unit that can serve many different purposes at various places in your signal path. Use it at the front of your chain of effects to shape the rest of your outgoing tone, after your drive pedals as an overall tone sweetener or clean volume boost, or at the the end of your pedalboard to drive a long cable run or as a restorative device to recreate the sound of your guitar going directly into the input of your amplifier. You can also use the ZIO in your amp's effects loop if you want to drive your power amp even harder, or to compensate for a level mismatch between two channels.
