The new Arduino Nano Every is certainly cheaper than older Arduino boards, but is it better? Here are my initial impressions, backed with some actual tests and technical information. Enjoy! Unfortunately, I was unable to find the relevant entries on my system; and even if this hack worked, you'd still have to remember to do it with every new IDE version you install, or it'll really mess things up.

In this lesson, we’ll walk through how to solder an Arduino Nano Every From everything you’ll need before you get started A couple tips, tricks, and resources if you’re new to soldering And a demo of soldering the Arduino Nano Every ARDUINO NANO EVERY I ordered a 3 pack of the Arduino Nano Every, a newer style Arduino board, and when I opened one of the boxes, I realized I was going to have to do some soldering, because out came two rows of little metals pins held together by some plastic – these are called header pins. You can buy these with the header pins already soldered on, but that is not the kind I bought. These header pins are what make electrical contact with different components on the circuit board and they allow you to use a solderless breadboard, so you can connect other electrical components to the Arduino Nano Every. Now you might be like, why the heck don’t these things come already soldered on anyway? Those Arduino people are so lazy! The reason is because this style header pins actually go through the circuit board – they are called through-hole components – and it takes a real human being to solder them on (which costs extra money during production). Unlike the other components on the Arduino Nano Every, which can be soldered on using a machine. These are surface-mount devices (SMD). So since they figure only cool people with soldering irons will buy an Arduino Nano Every anyway, hey, let’s get these made a little cheaper. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SOLDER AN ARDUINO NANO EVERY So here’s what you’ll need to solder your Arduino Nano Every (Full Disclosure – These are affiliate links that allow us to buy gold toilet seat covers for our yachts) A soldering iron solder (I prefer rosin core) A wet sponge, or a brass wire coils to clean the tip of your And ideally, a bread board, but if you don’t have, you could still manage. (Optional) Deep Learning GPU optimized for Cat Image Recognition Models SOLDERING THE ARDUINO NANO EVERY START HEATING UP YOUR SOLDERING IRON First I am going to get my soldering iron turned on. I have one where I can adjust the temperature, and usually I’ll set it around 250℉ to 260℉. Your soldering iron may not have an adjustable temp – no big deal. PLACE YOUR PIN HEADERS INTO THE BREADBOARD While my soldering iron is heating up, I set the pin headers into a breadboard. The long side of the pins goes into the breadboard, and the short side sticks up. I start at the end of the breadboard, to make sure both headers start at the same place. One header will be spaced a little farther from the center than the other. Sometimes, you can accidentally dislodge one of the pins out of the plastic while trying to push the header pin into the breadboard – if this happens, no big deal, just push it back into the breadboard, and make it even with the other pins. You’ll want to make sure the header pin header pin plastic is tight to breadboard, and it is not uneven or crooked. Then set the Arduino Nano Every on top of the header pins. Important point here: There are mounting holes on the Arduino Nano Every – you don’t want to accidentally set the circuit board so those mounting holes have a pin through them. You want the header pins to fill those shiny crescent edged holes on the circuit board. SOLDER THE ARDUINO NANO EVERY CONTINUED… 🤍

The Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect board fuses a Raspberry Pi RP2040 MCU with an ESP32-based WiFi & Bluetooth Module, a MEMS Microphone, an IMU with Machine Learning capabilities, extra Flash memory, and a Cryptographic Coprocessor. All in the same form-factor and pinout as the original Arduino Nano. This powerful little board brings the power of the new RP2040 microcontroller to the Arduino ecosystem. And with the addition of WiFi and Bluetooth, along with a number of advanced onboard peripherals, this little board is certain to find a myriad of uses. Today we will take a first look at the Arduino Nano RP2040. After examining the board's many advanced features we will set up our Arduino IDE to work with our new microcontroller. Linux users will want to make note of a possible bug in the installation process, but don’t worry, I have a simple fix for that. Once we have the IDE up and running and have tested out the board with the usual Blink sketch we will run a few Arduino-supplied experiments to get a feel for using some of the Nano RP2040’s advanced features. The Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect has an onboard RGB LED, and in our first experiment we will create a WiFi Access Point with a web page that will allow us to control the Red, Green, and Blue segments. You can use this simple sketch as the basis for more advanced remote control applications. Next, we will put the 6-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to the test by exploiting one of its most unique features - built-in Machine Learning. We will use this to build a motion sensor that can determine whether we are stationary, walking, jogging, cycling, or driving. As I’m doing this in the confines of my workshop I'll just have to shake the board to simulate walking and jogging! And finally, we will use the onboard MEMS Microphone to control the blue segment of the RGB LED by clapping - similar to the old “Clapper” device from the 1980s! The Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect is finally here! This video gives you a first look at the new Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect. This board is a fantastic addition to the Nano line up and showcases a wide range of features that you might want to use in your project! The Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect uses the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller and has 16MB of on board flash storage, u-blox NINA-W102 radio module to provide full WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, along with Bluetooth and BLE v4.2. It also has an onboard six axis IMU, a microphone and a cryptographic IC. It has plenty of programmable I/O pins which have functions that bigger boards only dream of; 22 digital, 20 with PWM and 8 analog. The RP2040 chip supports 4 12-bit ADC channels, two UARTs, two SPI and I2C controllers. It also has 8 PIO state machines, USB 1.1 host and device support and 16 PWM channels. Programming the Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect is very easy in the Arduino IDE, simply install the “Arduino Mbed OS Nano” board package from the board manager and you are good to go! После установки всех необходимых компонентов загрузим в контроллер тестовый пример и проверим его работу. Технические характеристики Arduino Nano V3.0: - Контроллер ATMega328P - 14 цифровых входов/выходов (6 из которых могут формировать сигнал ШИМ модуляции с разрешением 8бит) - 7 аналоговых входов (5 из которых можно использовать и в качестве цифровых) с разрешением преобразования 10бит. - 2 входа для обработки сигналов прерывания - Поддержка интерфейсов UART, I2C и SPI. - Частота контроллера 16 МГц. - Напряжение питания 6-20В (Рекомендуется 7-12В). So should every Nano be an Every now?
